The general warehouse associate stocks items and selects (“picks”) for filling customer orders.

This job is physical and is conducted in a cold environment! Warm-up drills and stretches are conducted in preparation for the shift. Must be dressed for working in a freezer!

Other requirements:

·       Read work orders, use computers, and hand scanners, perform inventory control.

·       Perform shipping/receiving duties which includes visual inspections of the shipments; reading labels, codes, and ID numbers; processing items, and stocking items in the correct location.

·       Unload incoming shipments and supplies from delivery trucks and load outgoing shipments onto delivery trucks for disbursement.

·       Receive and count stock items; record data manually or using the computer.

·       Inspect temperatures of received items; document if the temperature does not meet requirements.

·       Successfully undergo safety training and adhere to those teachings and procedures to avoid accidents and injuries.
