Job Description
| A Temporary PT Bus Driver will operate the City's fixed and para-transit route bus service. Bus Drivers must have excellent customer service skills, possess a valid Kansas driver’s license with a clean driving record and a Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement before the date of hire or have the ability to acquire such by date of hire. Drivers must be able to pass a background check, a DOT physical, and be available to work between 20-29 flexible weekday hours per week. Hours of operation for the transportation system are weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Random drug testing performed throughout employment. Bilingual skills preferred but not required. |

The City of Dodge City is accepting applications for a part-time transportation bus drivers for the City of Dodge City’s fixed and para-transit route bus service. Benefits may apply after 60 days. Also seeking drivers for nights between 10:00 p.m.-2:00 a.m. for a dedicated special fixed route. Applicants must have excellent customer service skills, possess a valid Kansas Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement with a clean driving record before the date of hire. Drivers must be able to pass a background check, a DOT physical, and be available to work between 20-29 flexible weekday hours per week. Regular route operation hours are weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Random drug testing performed throughout employment. Bilingual skills preferred but not required. Starting pay is $13.26 per hour. Part-time City benefit package may apply to this position after at least 60 days of employment, which includes single health insurance, vacation, sick leave, and KPERS retirement. Bilingual pay stipend may apply following post-hire testing.
